WINE TASTING
Parish Hall, Church Street, Frodsham
An evening to raise funds for the project to eliminate Polio world wide
The Rotary Club of Frodsham & Helsby announces its annual Wine
Tasting Evening. This very successful and popular event will be held at
the Parish Hall, Church Street, Frodsham, on Saturday 25th February
2012, at 7.30 pm.
The "Thanks for Life" programme is a vehicle to raise funds for the
Eradication of Polio, which has been a major goal of the Rotary
movement for many years. The target date is the 25th February for this
year’s fund raising efforts. You may see Rotarians with collecting
buckets during the day and then running the
popular wine tasting event in the evening.
The Polio Eradication
Project has been in progress 25 years, we are so close to success now.
The programme was significantly boosted in December 2007 when the Bill
and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded the Rotary Foundation a
match-funding gift of US$100 Million, on the basis that the Rotary
organisation worldwide would match it.
If you enjoy learning about wine, in good company and in a relaxed atmosphere, why not come along?
Tickets are available from Ian Tickle (Estate Agents), Main Street, Frodsham and cost £12.50
Monday 4 June 2012, The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday.
