Successful Reconnoitre.
In preparation for the next Presidential year, it was decided that on Thursday the 4th of May, it would be a good idea for a group of Club members along with their Ladies, to visit the Main Campus of West Cheshire College where they now hold their "Gourmet Dinner" evenings and try out the venue as a visit might be organized for some time in the not too distant future.
The College's catering courses have recently moved from the beautiful surroundings of Greenbank House in Eaton Road to the main campus as part of the College's expansion programme, where Students at various levels of their studies set a Menu, prepare, and then serve a Gourmet Meal.
It is pleasing to report that the evening was a great success, with everyone enjoying the wonderfully prepared and served three course meal that finished with the traditional freshly brewed coffees and teas.
As can be seen, our party of nine was not disappointed with the change of venue and was most impressed with the evening to the extent that everyone said they were looking forward to their next visit.

Beech Tree Farm - Fun Day.
For the second time this Presidential year, Peter Wilde the Chairman of our Club's Youth Committee and VP1 Malcolm visited an event organized by the Canal Boat Adventure Project, whose Chairman is Rotarian Norma Hornby, the 1st Vice President of the Rotary Club of Warrington.
On Sunday the 14th of May, a Gymkhana was held to celebrate the equestrian achievements of seven young 'Nessie Club' members who have attended the Livery Stables at Beech Tree Farm. Under the guidance of Frances Bennett, the Manager of the stables, the youngsters learned to clean out stables, groom, feed, ride and trust the horses they were assigned to.
The youngsters began with a display of horsemanship, which was designed to highlight their recently gained skills. There then followed several hard fought events involving them in Gymkhana style games, with winners and horses being awarded the traditional Rosettes.
Keith Thompson, the owner of Beech Tree Farm and Livery Stables was on hand to see for himself the achievements of these young riders and clearly was pleased with the results of their hard work.
The event then ended with a B-B-Q and a display of riding skills put on by several members of the Livery Stables.
Our photos show Frances introducing the 'Nessie Club' members to those present at the event, and also Peter having a chat to Norma during a quiet moment in the proceedings.
The 11th Annual RIBI Clay Target Shoot.
On a very warm and sunny Friday the 2nd of June, our Club was pleased to host the 11th RIBI Clay Target Shoot, which once again was held at Catton Hall Shooting Ground, here in Frodsham.
The event was very well attended and it was pleasing to note that not only did we have 55 Rotarians shoot on the day, representing 26 Rotary Clubs, but 41 Guests of Rotary also shot.
Making this event even more special was the fact that despite it being an RIBI event, this year it had an International link, as in attendance was a team from our Twin Club of Hradec Králové, who came over from the Czech Republic especially for this shoot and are shown with their Trophy along with several members of our Club.
With the weather being so kind, the standard of shooting was very high and it was clear that everyone enjoyed the various challenges set by the 12 different Stands.
As is tradition the event was drawn to a close by President Tony.
Before presenting the various prizes to the winners, he firstly thanked Martin and all the Staff of the Shooting Ground for all their hard work, such that they ensured a good days shooting was had by all.
He finished by thanking all those Club members that had helped on the day, but most particularly he thanked all those who had come along to shoot and make the day the success that it had been.
