WELCOME and thank you for visiting our ‘How to Join’ page.

Opportunities offered

I hope you can see from our website the range of activities that engage our members. I find that there is always something in which I can spend some of my leisure time and contribute to the wellbeing of the local community as well as participate in and learn about Rotary’s wider activity in the world. Some of these are awesome humanitarian projects. Personally some time ago I worked as a doctor in Tibetan refugee communities in Nepal – an opportunity that I would never have been able to achieve without Rotary.

Raising money to support local, Rotary International and other causes

Events such as a Sportmans Dinner and Car Boot Sale are major fundraisers but we also raise funds through collections at local events and the activity of our outside catering facility [OK only a burger stall and spud oven!].

Community Service projects

Youth Speaks Distrct Final
Putting something back into my community is one of the attractions for me. Have you ever been a ‘Santa’? or helped at a blood pressure screening day for the Stroke Association awareness?

I also enjoy the Festival in the Park at which local groups and entertainment are given the chance to show themselves on a sunny day in the magnificent Frodsham Castle Park!

Our Car Show is increasingly popular and attracting an ever wider number of participants.

We also support young people particularly through the local schools. The picture (left) shows participants at the  Rotary Youth Speaks Competition.

Social Activity

My wife and I can enjoy the many social activities the Club holds and there is an active local Inner Wheel club for our ladies to hold their own meetings. They also welcome associate members. Our Club nights are usually good fun, entertaining and informative with speakers, activities or the occasional business meeting to coordinate all the projects! The weekly attendance, although traditional, is not compulsory and a new Associate category caters for individuals who may not be as available but be keen to participate in local projects when available. You can keep up to date with the weekly information emails or from the website.

At present we are, for historical reasons, an older (but extremely active) male club but are keen to attract younger men and women – perhaps joining as Associates or as a group initially! The continuing vitality of the Rotary International movement depends on our achievement of this!
